The Cooter Primer for the Weekend: Nerdcore Rap

One of these guys is still in love with a stripper.

This one's particularly old, despite it being on the internet for just eight weeks. That's the part I hate about pop culture today. You hear a good record, you bump it in your car, then you tell your friends, "Check this shit out. It's that new Lil' Wayne record. I've been bumpin' loud in my car." Then, your friends look at you all disapprovingly and break the sad news that you are literally just a day late with your discovery. So you are a total failure and you're still listening to that "cool, new" Lil' Wayne track. (Wow, I must be the only one.)

Anyways, I've been bumpin' this new track from the comedy trio of The Lonely Island called I'm On a Boat. Apparently, Andy Samburg got tired of pitching Space Cats sketches to Lorne Michaels and this is what we got: a skewed gangsta rap video with Mr. Autotone himself, T-Pain, providing the melodies and the hook. It's nerdy as hell and you might want to buy nautical-themed cashmere afghans after listening to this for the first time. ;-) But would you say no to two worlds colliding like T-Pain's and the pair of Samburg and Akiva Schaffer. Fucks no!

Play this with the speaker hella way up!:
